Barrett C. Craner
Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
Barry Craner has responsibility for the quality and regulatory aspects of Stellartech’s medical device development and manufacturing. This responsibility extends to the product experience of Stellartech’s clients’ customers in the field. Barry is also Stellartech’s interface with the FDA and with European regulators.
Barry brings more than 25 years experience in the medical device Quality Assurance and Regulatory fields, along with seven years supervising engineering and quality assurance in aerospace, internet and software development.
Barry joined Stellartech in 2010, having worked in various management positions at medical device companies such as Boston Scientific Corporation, Lipid Sciences, Nellcor Puritan Bennett, Guidant, Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, and IMED Corporation.
Barry comes to us with a Masters in Biology (Cardiac Physiology) from San Diego State University (SDSU), an MBA (Computer Info Systems) from National University and an equivalent minor in electrical engineering from SDSU.
Barry is a Fellow of ASQ and holds four technical certifications. He is RAC (Regulatory Affairs Certified). Barry received the Marvin Rosenbaum Distinguished Service Award from the ASQ Biomedical Division, the Simon Collier Quality Award from ASQ Los Angeles, and was named in the “Top 100 persons in Medical Device Industry”, by MD&DI in 2008.
